My role was focused on developing a carbon dioxide sequestration system that would be built into a solar tree. My internship placement, along with the online modules, helped me learn so much more about Ecuadorian culture and my career goals than expected. After weekly cultural debriefs I wanted to go back to Ecuador even more! (Read Amanda’s blog post for more about the experience.)
Doing an internship in Argentina from home was one of the best experiences I have ever had! I was given the opportunity to learn about new cultures and have professional and personal growth from my home. I was able to set up my computer anywhere, work around my pets and family, and become a better version of my self. (Read Sabrina’s blog post for more about the experience.)
I was fortunate enough to work remotely, which also added to my experience. Because if you can discipline yourself to work at home instead of just being able to produce at the office, you’ll be so much more valuable, and it’s a work ethic everyone needs to have.
