On March 27-29 we attended the 15th Annual Forum Conference in Denver, CO. We were thrilled to have the opportunity to catch up with colleagues, attend some amazing sessions, have our first Twitter takeover, debut a new academic print piece, and even host a lunch and learn!
Affordable Engaged Learning
Director of University Relations, Kerry Smith
We were proud to display our new academic piece, Affordable Engaged Learning: The CISabroad Difference, at Forum this year. In it, we’ve laid out the 5 principles that guide the academic relevance of our programs:
- Academic Quality
- High Impact Practices
- Intentional & Integrated Co-Curriculum
We’ve made it a priority to provide U.S. university students with the best value in education abroad. We believe strongly in considering affordability, academic relevance, cultural immersion, and support when putting together out programs. If you would like more information please reach out to us.
Lunch and Learn
Triant Flouris speaking at CISabroad’s Lunch and Learn
CISabroad’s Triant Flouris, Provost and University Professor at our Semester and Summer in Greece partner, Hellenic American University, discussed Gen-Z from the Onsite Perspective. Higher education enrollment is in the midst of a generational shift, with Generation Z students rapidly replacing millennials on campuses. Triant talked about the corresponding shift in mindset required for education abroad professionals, with a focus on onsite program delivery and support. Characteristics of Gen Z were explored as well as practical strategies for effectively reaching these students.
