Just like our mission, CIS Abroad aims to change the world, one employee at a time. To do this we need to educate ourselves on the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Afterall, Cultural Curiosity is one of our values and it ties us all together. It is important for you to be knowledgeable about your colleagues, our students and partners so we can better relate, understand and support these diverse populations. As life-long learners we continue to explore and educate ourselves on how to be better allies, how to have a better understanding of your fellow humans, and reduce our bias wherever possible. We require all staff to participate in a DEI orientation within the first 3 months of employment. This orientation includes foundational understanding of what DEI means, taking implicit association/bias testing, allyship, and activities to make an impact at CIS Abroad and international education as a whole. We also are committed to holding at least 2 DEI activities, outside speakers, presentations, etc. per year.

Here's what to expect when applying:

First, you'll complete a little online application and you'll get an email confirmation that we received your application successfully. We'll review your application materials - usually within 3 weeks, though each opening has a different timeline. Note that we review application materials by humans, not AI, because you're a human with all sorts of intricacies and experiences which we highly value here. If we determine we'd be a good fit for each other we'll reach out to you for an interview. We typically have 3 rounds of interviews with several people joining the interview panel. The interview process itself usually takes 3 weeks though it can depend on many factors. If you have not been selected you will be notified as soon as possible - we know waiting can be hard. If you have any questions along the way, simply ask the VP of People & Culture.

NOTE: If you are unable to complete our online application due to a disability, contact our VP of People & Culture to ask for an accommodation.
