Summer in Madrid is a month long program that takes place between late May and late June. You’ll have a variety of academic course options at the University. Spanish- language and culture courses, taught in Spanish, are tailored to your language proficiency, whether elementary or advanced. All other courses are taught in English. Several courses involve significant study outside the classroom, including visits to art museums and centers of commerce and finance.

How to choose your courses
Now the fun part! As part of the application process you will be required to complete the CISabroad Course Selection Worksheet found in the CISabroad Application Page. The following instructions will guide you through the steps of choosing your courses. Select from the following areas: business and economics, communication and journalism, humanities, government, history, mathematics and statistics, and Spanish language and literature.
Course load: 1-2 courses (4–8 US credits)
Course approval: Before you go abroad, it is best to get 3–4 classes approved for your summer program. This gives you some flexibility in setting up your class schedule. Think about courses required for your major, but also courses that fulfill your elective requirements.
