Summer in Madrid at Universidad Antonio de Nebrija

Study at a Spanish university in Madrid's "university city" while enjoying a smaller program and exceptional support. Study intensive Spanish for one or two months and choose from other courses in local topics offered in English.

We have a variety of courses, both in Spanish and English - In Madrid, you can find many courses to fit your interests and need, from academic focus to Spanish proficiency. With options ranging from classes taught solely in Spanish to the language's most introductory courses, this is the perfect opportunity to get a well-rounded Spanish experience while you study abroad in Madrid.

We know how to let you get the most out of your time abroad - All of our CISabroad advisors have studied or lived abroad, and are eager to share everything they've learned from their travels! Our team is on hand to help you with anything you might need before, during or after your Madrid experience.

CISabroad knows the value of going green - Even though international flights aren't exactly carbon-friendly, your round-trip flight to Madrid can be offset by the work of CISabroad's environmental partnerships around the world. From recycling to volunteering, you'll also receive tips for how to be more environmentally friendly in your new home in Madrid.

Study abroad in the heart of it all during a time when the city comes to life even more than usual - By studying abroad in the summer in Madrid at Nebrija, you'll never find yourself short on things to do. Between the city's various festivals, holidays, sports, and cultural happenings, Madrileños (inhabitants of Madrid) seem to be up and at it 24/7. Luckily, most people still practice the siesta...

Study Spanish abroad intensively in the official seat of the Spanish language - Madrid is said to speak a neutral dialect, one that sets the standard for all other dialects across Spain and Spanish-speaking Latin America, so you'll be living and learning in a great place to form a foundation for developing a proper accent and vocabulary. You can spend 20 hours per week studying Spanish Language and Culture at one of many levels and in a small classroom setting, allowing you to improve your abilities leaps and bounds in a short time. If you opt for two months, your second month will build upon the foundation you gained in the first month and take it to the next level.

Enjoy fully immersion in the Spanish culture - During your summer studying abroad in Madrid, you can participate in a variety of program-sponsored cultural activities, including guided visits to museums and places of cultural and historical significance, as well as attending shows, workshops and dance classes. Your teachers will integrate Spanish culture into your language studies as often as possible, to provide context to your language learning and give you an insight into Spanish culture from true Spaniards. You'll also be studying at a local Spanish university, allowing you to meet Spanish students on- and off-campus.

Our Summer in Madrid program is located at Universidad Antonio de Nebrija. Founded in 1995, Universidad Antonio de Nebrija is accredited by the Ministry of Education and Science.

With 4,000 students on Nebrija's three campuses, you will meet plenty of people without getting lost in the crowd. Most CISabroad students study on at the Campus Dehesa de la Villa campus, which is located in the "university city" of Madrid, providing a fun and social atmosphere for college-aged students from Spain and around the world. This campus is also situated next to the tranquil park "Parque Dehesa de la Villa," which serves as a nice place for a walk or a rest in between classes.

Nebrija loves its international students and prepares many excursions to get students acquainted with their new city. Tours and activities, both inside and outside of classes, will take you around Madrid and an orientation provided through the university will ensure that you have an easy transition to living in Spain.

On campus you will have easy access to the library, computer lab with free wifi, and a full cafeteria.

Your student life will be as busy as you want to make it! You can join any of the activities on campus, including language and culture exchanges, sports teams, and major-specific clubs to integrate you into the student body. You'll enjoy access to the University's library, computer lab, wifi, and cafeterias.  The Campus Dehesa de la Villa is in the "student city" of Madrid, meaning cafes, restaurants and bars all cater to the college-aged student: you'll see your classmates and other Spanish and international students from any number of nearby universities, most establishments are budget-friendly, and they tend to provide quicker service than you might find elsewhere.

Summer study abroad students enjoy 6 cultural activities, including guided museum tours, visits to other sites of interest around the city, and cultural discussions. The campus staff also organizes regular outings to places outside of Madrid, performances, and classes for those interested. CISabroad students also enjoy additional excursions and activities depending on the session and group interests, allowing you to form a smaller social community.
