Summer in Aix en Provence

Enjoy a summer in the Provence region of Southern France. Take courses in English and French, enjoy amazing cuisine, and a have a petit café among the tree-lined streets and fountains.

Summer in Aix en Provence is housed at the Aix Center. The Aix Center offers a wide variety of courses taught in English, as well as French-language classes, in the following disciplines: art history, business, history, photography, and the French language (beginner to advanced). The program is six week long, running from mid-June through late July.

GPA Required: 2.5. If you find your GPA is lower than the requirement, do not despair! Use the "Contact An Advisor" button on this page or call us to let us know your situation. We'll do all we can to find the right program for you.

How to choose your courses
Now the fun part! As part of the application process you will be required to complete the CISabroad Course Selection Worksheet found in the CISabroad Application Page. The following instructions will guide you through the steps of choosing your courses.

Course load: 2 classes (6 US credits)

Course approval:  Before you go abroad, it is best to get 3–4 classes approved. This gives you some flexibility in setting up your class schedule. Think about courses required for your major, but also courses that fulfill your elective requirements.

Helpful information
While French-language courses are not mandatory for summer study, we do recommend that you consider one, especially if you are new to the language.

You will be notified of what courses you are registered for approximately a month before the beginning of your program.
