As a CIS student studying at the University of Westminster for the summer, you will live in one of two University residence halls. Both of the halls are self-catering, so you will use the kitchens to prepare your meals. Each of the halls contains student apartments within the building, and each of those units has up to eight single rooms. Each of the units has several bathrooms, washbasins, a television, ironing facilities, and a modern well-equipped kitchen that includes a stove, refrigerator, microwave, kettle and toaster. The residence halls have wireless internet access, are close to coin-operated laundry facilities, and you will be within walking distance to a tube stop. Bed linens, pillows, and towels are not provided and it is recommended that students wait to purchase these things until after arrival in London.
No matter which residence hall you live in, each is closely located to famous sites throughout London, whether it is the London Eye, Westminster Abbey, Big Ben, Parliament, St. Paul’s Cathedral, or The Barbican (Europe’s largest multi-arts and conference venue). The residence halls are also near markets, shops, and pubs, which allow you to discover all that the city of London has to offer. And the halls will give you the opportunity to meet other people from different cultures and countries across the world, which will only enhance your study abroad experience!
