Semester in Thailand

As a CIS study abroad student, you’ll get outstanding support. We’re with you every step of the way with academic advising, personal help, and cultural counseling.  We’ll make sure that when you arrive in Thailand, you hit the ground running.  A CIS staff member will meet you at the airport and your semester in Thailand will officially begin with an intensive orientation program that introduces you to life in Thailand and Bangkok, as well as to your new university.

You’ll have extensive opportunities to participate in activities with Thai and international students. There are a variety of entertainment events and activities arranged for students, by students. Dances, concerts, plays, and movies are held in various venues around campus, including the recreation center in the Student Union complex.  As a student, you will have the opportunity to participate in a field trip during orientation, and there will be plenty of opportunities throughout the semester to set up your own excursions.  While studying at Mahidol University, students will be able to access beautiful parklands as well as modern facilities that include a health center, bank, and a library and technology center.

For those students that love sports, you will have free access to various sport facilities that include an indoor stadium, four outdoor tennis courts, three soccer fields, a volleyball court, and a running track.  In addition, with a membership, students will be able to use one of the University’s five swimming pools, the fitness center, weight equipment, sauna, and aerobics facilities.  Other options offered on the Mahidol University campus include several stores, weekly markets, affordable eateries and restaurants, a beauty salon, comic book store, and copying services.
