Semester in Thailand has an incredible housing program. You will live in international housing at either Chaiyapruk Village or Green Park Home. All of the rooms will be shared between students, or, for an additional cost, students may live in single rooms. Both housing units are self-catered so students will need to prepare or purchase their own meals.
Chaiyapruk Village is located 10 minutes by bike from Mahidol University. It provides students with bicycle and helmet rental, 24-hour security, a twice-weekly room cleaning service, and comes with its own sports center, pool, and restaurant which offers take-out and phone-order services. Students will have access to kitchen and dining areas, a lounge with TV and cable, a laundry room, and computer/internet access. Bed sheets and pillow cases will be given to students free of charge.
Green Park Home is a 10-minute bus ride from Mahidol University and is surrounded by restaurants, mini-marts, and gardens. It is fully furnished, with air conditioning, and has a 24 hour security system. Students will have a shared bathroom, wardrobe, desk, and bed (linens provided at an additional cost). In addition, students have access to laundry facilities, lounge, kitchen, and a cleaning service. Cable television and telephones are made available for students to use.
Whichever option you choose, you are sure to meet new friends and learn more about the culture of Thailand, and that can only enhance your study abroad experience!
