Independent research course
This optional course gives you the resources and support you need to complete a significant research assignment in a topic of your choice. Students often generate material for a final portfolio or senior thesis at their home institution. In this program, you are paired with an expert in your chosen field—a Pantheon Institute faculty member, an adviser from home, or one of Rome’s distinguished scholars—as you create a personal path of study. The course culminates in a research paper or presentation showcasing your work over the semester.
Students will receive a US college or university transcript from an accredited US institution for academic work completed on this program.
