Semester in Dublin

Who wouldn’t want to study in the land of James Joyce, leprechauns, and Lord of the Dance? Explore the quaint bookstores, walk the cobblestone streets, and listen to traditional music in the pubs while studying at one of the best universities in Ireland.

It's said that Ireland, once visited, is never forgotten. Home to only 5 million people, the island's influence far exceeds its size. It is extremely attractive for its renowned creativity in literature, film, and popular music. On top of that historical status, in the last 15 years it has also become the heart of new economic growth and multiculturalism. Dublin is now recognized as one of the top cosmopolitan destinations in Europe. Dublin is the country’s largest city, and is located along the River Liffey. It has more of a small city feel with a lot to do! All of Dublin’s great attractions are in the heart of the city. Shortly after you arrive you will be able to feel the passion that Dubliners have for their sports teams (including Soccer, Rugby and Gaelic Football). From historical museums and libraries, to more modern day attractions (The Guinness Factory being a favorite among travelers), you’ll always have sometime to keep you occupied.

Dublin is home to numerous concert halls, art museums, and football and rugby matches, and is famous for daily traditional fiddle and acoustic guitar performances in local pubs throughout the city. The city is equally well regarded for Dubliners’ hospitality, friendliness, and humor. The Irish are known for being quite welcoming and talkative, and always enjoy a good laugh with friends at the local pub. So pick up some Gaelic, check out a Celtic music concert, and live it up on St. Patrick’s Day with your new Irish friends. Don’t forget to kiss the Blarney Stone, visit the Irish coastline with its amazing sea-cliff views, and see small-town Irish life.
