Semester in Bendigo

Kangaroos on campus, life in a midsize Australian city, and a superb Outdoor and Adventure Education program! If you are looking for an authentic Aussie experience—wildlife included—then this is for you.

Housing at Bendigo is on-campus and is self-catered.  CISabroad students will either stay in the Terraces or in The Units.

The Terraces consists of 21 houses, each of which holds eight students.  Each of the terrace units contains a spacious heated and fully furnished lounge room, a modern and well equipped kitchen, two laundry areas, and two bathrooms.  Students will need to provide their own desk lamps, kitchen utensils/crockery, bed lines, blankets, pillows, and their own room heater (if needed).  CISabroad recommends that students wait until arrival to purchase these materials to share the costs with their housemates.

The Units consist of nine centrally heated units.  Each of the units can accommodate up to 12 people, each with a single bedroom.  All of the units contain large partly equipped dining/kitchen area, a small mezzanine lounge area, and two bathrooms.  There is a fully equipped central laundry facility for all students residing in the Units.  The complex offers a Common Room to students which overlooks the tennis courts, and contains a computer room, a group study room, a large lounge room, a small kitchen, and photocopying facilities.  Students will need to provide their own desk lamps, kitchen utensils/crockery, bed lines, blankets, pillows, and their own room heater (if needed).  CISabroad recommends that students wait until arrival to purchase these materials to share the costs with their housemates.

Regardless of where you stay, the best thing about the Bendigo housing is that kangaroos frequently hop through!
