What classes did you take while abroad?
I did not take classes while abroad. I interned for a member of the Irish Parliament, the Fianna Fail Spokesperson for Children, Charlie McConalogue in Dublin, Ireland.
What was your favorite class and why?
My work was interesting and unforgettable. I had so many opportunities to meet influential people in the Irish government. I learned a lot about the political system and culture in Ireland compared to the United States.
What type of accommodation did you have? Did you like it?
I lived in a 4 bedroom/4 bathroom apartment. I liked the apartments a lot. They were in a relatively quiet area of Dublin near one of the universities.
What do you miss the most about your host country?
I miss everything about Ireland! The people were extremely nice and hospitable. The food was amazing. The culture was incredible. There are too many things to count that I miss about it.
What was your most challenging travel experience?
My most challenging experience was having two roommates that did not get along and dealt with culture shock and being away from home differently.
What are five things you packed that you wish you hadn't?

2. Bathroom items (just buy them there)
3. Too many purses
4. Hair blow dryer/straightener (adapters did not work well)
5. Items to do laundry (buy them there)
What are five things you didn’t pack that you wish you had?
1. More books to read on long bus trips (a kindle or nook would be helpful here)
2. A better quality camera
3. A small box or folder to keep all my tickets, brochures, and other collectible things in
4. A small journal
5. A neck pillow for the plane and bus rides
Is there anything else you'd like to add?
Studying abroad is one of the best decisions I've made in college. I highly recommend it for everyone.
