Onsite staff is there to help with any issues, or just to chat about your new experience. They also facilitate group activities and events to enhance your cultural experience in Australia.
Upon arrival in Australia, you will be picked up at the airport and taken to your housing in the city in which you’ve chosen to intern. Due to the flexibility of this program, a welcome orientation takes place every Friday, so regardless of your start date, you’ll get to participate. This on-site orientation covers important aspects of living in Australia, including health, safety, and general cultural differences, and will help you acclimate as quickly as possible to your new home and new work environment.
If you choose to intern in Sydney, you will have the option of participating in weekly social functions where you can gather with other students on Intern in Australia and chat about how your workweek went. This is a great way to meet new friends and also to network. You will truly enjoy the hands-on learning aspect of an internship placement in Australia!
