Intern in Australia gives you flexibility in your housing. If you are interning in Sydney, you can choose a more independent experience and live in a shared house or apartment with other interns. In this housing option, your house/apartment is fully furnished, and linens, internet, and phone service are available at a small additional cost. You will have your own room unless you tell us that you’d like to share with a friend. If you want to experience true Australian family life, home stays may be available upon request. In Melbourne, students automatically get to experience true Australian family life through living in a home stay.
Interns in Sydney must provide their own food, and all apartments have full kitchens. In Melbourne, most meals are included in the home stay (breakfast and dinner on weekdays; breakfast, lunch and dinner on weekends). All housing options can be reached through public transportation. Please keep in mind that while we will make every effort to find you housing close to your internship, some commuting is required.
