England is considered a very safe study abroad destination. Violent crimes are very rare and city centers are safe for the most part. With that being said, we encourage you to be cautious in unfamiliar areas. Use "common sense" while you are traveling to other countries and you are sure to have a safe and pleasant experience! While in England you will need to have health insurance to cover you in case of an accident. Students who will spend more than six months in England will technically be able to use the national health plan.
