England

Queen Elizabeth, the Beatles, Shakespeare, Guy Ritchie, Coldplay, and many more have made England renowned for its rich history, art, and culture! While studying or interning in the bustling city of London, Buckingham Palace, the Globe Theatre, Notting Hill, Big Ben, and the West End theater district are all just a quick tube ride away or you can snap photos from atop the famous double-decker buses!

Britain is home to some of the leading educational institutions in the world. There are 168 universities and colleges of higher education in Britain, with a total of 1.8 million full and part-time students enrolled in higher education. Learning in England will be different than what you are used to at your American institution since much more responsibility for learning the material is given to the student. Teaching methods and assessment vary amongst institutions, but in general your schedule will consist of large lectures followed by more intimate tutorials and labs where the information is studied in detail. You are expected to read, research, and prepare outside of class time.
