bridget W CISabroad Featured Student: Bridget, Intern in BarcelonaBridget W.

Bridget is a 20-year old student from University of Alabama who took her internship with us through our Intern in Barcelona program.

Study Abroad University:
Barcelona International College

What classes did you take while abroad?
I interned for a company called BEdeluxe as well as took a beginner Spanish class.

What type of accommodation did you have? Did you like it?
I lived in an apartment with two other American girls in a great area of town. I enjoyed getting to know the other interns in the program.

What do you miss the most about your host country?
I missed having a big shower. Housing in Europe is a lot smaller than American housing but it was interesting adapting to their culture.

What was your most challenging travel experience?
My most challenging experience was adapting to the language barrier. I did not have a strong Spanish back ground so I have to work harder to communicate with locals. This was very challenging but a great learning experience.

Is there anything else you'd like to add?
I highly recommend interning abroad. I learned a lot from working at a company in another country. It was a great experience and I wish I could go back!
