London Eye

CISabroad’s Spring Familiarization Tour visited four of our partner universities in Ireland and England from March 11th – 18th, 2012. After a record turnout of applicants, we were excited to accept a wide variety of participants that reached from coast to coast!

The first half of the site visit was spent in Limerick and Dublin, Ireland. Participants visited both the University of Limerick and Dublin City University and were able to see first-hand how our students live in Ireland. Some highlights for the group’s time in Ireland included an open-top bus tour of Limerick, a guided tour of Hunt Museum in Limerick, traditional music at an Irish pub, and a fantastic music and dance performance at the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance.

On March 14th, the group flew to London to spend a few days visiting the University of Roehampton and the University of Westminster, as well as becoming familiar with internships in London. The group was also able to visit the Globe Theater and have dinner with one of CISabroad’s faculty-led customized program in England during Spring Break. All in all, it was a fantastic, albeit fast-paced, look at several of CISabroad’s most exciting programs.
